Evora S reaches a speed of 60 mph in 4.6 seconds, whereas standard reaches 60 in 4.9 seconds. Lotus uses its own control units and the automatic and manual transmissions are from Toyota. Evora uses IPs buttons on the console for drive, park and reverse instead of shifter.

Evora uses aluminum chassis center tub and other composite body panels made of aluminum makes a vehicle maintain lightweight of not exceeding 3000 pounds and also useful for maintaining the body stiff. Cabin space of Evora is quite different from many other models as Lotus’s main focus is on building light weight cars which looks small designed for 2+2 passengers and can accommodate a driver’s height of 6’5”. Evora feels heavier at the turnings than Elise as it is 1000 pounds heavier than Elise. Most interesting enhancements are the brakes, 18 inch wheels and in the front are the 13.8 inch discs. Very powerful steering control, effortless grip are the added attractions of Evora. Evora is not a cheaper vehicle but the royal looks, the leather upholstery, the dash boards, the sporty finish seats and the instrument cluster with the LED displays on either sides of the cluster, the speedometer and the tachometer will not allow you to feel that it is expensive.

The cabin of Evora is compact but definitely tall drivers can fit in. some feel that the long trip in Evora are not so comfortable. One more set back is that for the driver there is no place for the left foot when the clutch is not in use. But the electronics of the cabin are from Alpine, a two din navigation system in the center of the dash board, the Bluetooth support with integration of iPod, the backup camera to overcome the rear visibility are the attractive offerings which will hide all the other drawbacks of the car. Lotus being a small company they do not have the production and development from either BMW or Porsche. Still on public roads BMW gives more comfort for the passengers than the Evora but in all the other ways, Evora is very much enjoyable. It gives thrilling experience especially on the twisty roads. We will not feel the harshness or excess noise from the vehicle while on drive.
