Porsche has just revealed its special edition of a new variant 911 Speedster a popular sports car. Porsche could pay a great respectful deference to the 1953’s model 356 Speedster via 911 Speedster. Body work being standard but with changes in the looks, the new 911 Speedster looks shorter and has heavier windscreen than other models of 911. As a remembrance to its 25th anniversary Porsche has created this car. Out of all the motor shows, Paris’s motor show got the privilege to display this model.

Occasional protection is provided through a flat, manually operable fabricated hood by taking the earlier models as an example. Series of most appealing upgrades were received by the latest 911 Speedster which includes spoilers to the front bumper, tinted indicator lamps, darkened headlamps surrounds and windscreen frame, typical side sills and a peculiar rear bumper etc gives the vehicle a sporty finish. Black leather that has been used for interiors brings out the royal look to the vehicle.

Design Specifications

Similar to the 911 Carrera this vehicle is also designed with power to the rear wheels and with a six-cylinder engine. 402 horse power of this vehicle records at least 22 hp more than the standard 3.8-liter 911 Carrera S cabriolets. Without any change in Torque with 310 lb-ft, and rpm developed by albeit at 200 lower in the rev range at 4,200 rpm. The performance of the vehicle is not yet revealed but expectations are at 0 to 62 mph in about 4.5 seconds and a top speed is expected to be 190 mph.

Dual clutch gear box and seven speeds were standard equipments of 911 Speedster or Porsche. Locking system and carbon-ceramic brakes were the variations in this vehicle. It is quite different than the other 911s, with small modifications that blend together. The new model is featured with almost 60 mm lower to the ground and 44 mm wider, and better aerodynamics through which more aggressive stance is observed.

Finally to say, the 911 Speedster is a fully loaded vehicle with all the latest technologies. Suspension system of this vehicle and the protection from wind and rain with roll over system for the soft top etc are the technologies that will attract the attention of the customers.

A different texture of Blue was created just for this car which looks slightly different than the existing blues. So Porsche get the credit of creating a special color just for this vehicle. In addition to the new color, tinted front lights, black rings around the headlights and windshield, and other items in black here and there will definitely set this vehicle apart from others. Porsche did not declare any price of the vehicle till now but they are very sure that people will not look back to buy this sporty vehicle. 911 Speedster is going to take part in the most popular motor show that is going to be held in Paris in the later part of 2010.
