Toyota is planning to capture the US market by 2013 with the launch of two different variants of Prius hybrid vehicles which are expected to produce low emissions and balanced gas and electric usage. One of the new vehicles among the hybrid models will be bigger in size than the current Prius and the other model being smaller – the executives have briefed about these plans to the dealers. The smaller hybrid model may be of the Yaris size whereas the larger model is fifty percent more than the Prius in its interior and storage space.

Earlier Toyota had the plans of building a hybrid of the size Yaris and this small new hybrid may hit the France market very soon. Toyota has given a pledge to the press in expanding the hybrid industry in US with plug in electric and hybrid vehicles. Sales of these hybrids are aimed at one million a year ASAP and the sales up to two millions in the US market by 2013. Prius being the best in the world for selling gas-electric hybrid car helps Toyota to be in compliance with the emission related rules and regulations of European countries, United States and also other markets of the world. Seeing the growth of the Toyota’s sales we will come to know the upward movement with approx. 1.75 millions in the year 2009 and approx. 2.2 million in the subsequent year 2008. Toyota has the plans to restore the market and regain the trust of the customers through a launch of the two new service plans in the US with Scion and Toyota brand vehicle. Toyota’s step of intelligence in using the name of Prius for the expansion of the hybrid vehicles will definitely pay them the expected results. As per the plans to Toyota a plug in also will be released by 2012 to make the users of Prius able to recharge the batteries from the source of electricity which will help drive till 13 miles before the usage of gas is started.

As Toyota has lost its market points in the year 2010, they have laid a path to their growth via Prius model and challenged to increase the sales in US to 2 million cars by the year 2013.
