In the fourth generation of automobile industry for minivans, the 2011 Honda Odyssey represents the gold standard for its utility, performance and trick features.

Fuel economy: Without any exceptions, Odyssey offers 2- to 4-mpg improved fuel economy from the same 3.5-liter V6 engine, which now produces 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque (up 4 hp and 5 lb-ft over the 2010 model).

Auto transmission: With respect to improved fuel economy and to give the new-look minivan sportier acceleration, an optional six-speed automatic transmission joins the auto world.

Looks: With the "Lightning bolt" new look, you'll note the styling on the rear quarter. Dip in the window sill gives distinctive appearance and also allows better visibility for third-row passengers.

Drive: Odyssey found to be capable in most measures of driving on surface streets, hilly twisters, freeways and even an autocross course during the company's preview program. Lighter steering, shifting from six to four to three cylinders to save fuel when the extra power isn't needed are the impressive features on Honda Odyssey. Power of Honda Odyssey is ample and like its predecessors, there's not even a hint that the engine is shifting from six to four to three. Handling of the vehicle is ‘downright fun’.

Who can prefer? Frustration definitely takes place in growing families with vehicular puzzles. The question: do you have enough positions to safely secure all your kids? If you have a five passenger vehicle, it doesn’t mean that 2 adults and 3 kids can travel. You may need a little larger space for comfortable accommodation. Also, when a family plans their travel with seven or eight persons then this is the best vehicle that gets decent fuel economy. This all-new model puts the Odyssey again at the front of the class. If one prefers to have a distinctively styled minivan with all the latest features-- the Odyssey deserves your attention.

Auto show: The Odyssey concept that Honda debuted at the Chicago auto show, is basically the new fourth-generation model of the popular minivan. Excluding the lighting treatments and wheels to be toned down a little on the production car, but the lower and wider stance and "lightning bolt" beltline certainly will almost be present on the production model.
