2009 Ferrari California

The newest Ferrari to hit the streets is the 2009 Ferrari California. This car may bring back images of Ferris Buller's day off, but this is no ordinary Ferrari. This Ferrari has many incorporated many firsts for the brand. The first Ferrari with a front mounted V8, the first Ferrari with a folding hardtop roof, the first Ferrari with a direct injection engine, the first Ferrari with a production dual clutch transmission, and the first Ferrari developed to increase sales of the marque by 40%. You see, this is not a ordinary Ferrari.

The initial launch of this new model has been so popular that it is sold out until 2010, and the only way to get one is to get on a list. The California is powered by a 4.3l V8 that produces 460 horsepower with a rev limit of 8000 rpm. The engine allows the California to sprint 0-60 in 4.0 seconds flat. Amazing.

The California has been developed to be the most versatile Ferrari ever, and in many respects the brand has not failed on that promise. From the posh interior with a new infotainment center, to the all aluminum body this Ferrari will have anyone saying wow!
