Honda has announced that the base price of the Honda CR-Z Hybrid to be less than $20000 when released on August 24, 2010. A fully loaded Honda CR-Z is said to sticker below $24000 which includes a dash mounted navigation unit. The CR-Z is a compact, 2 seater hybrid with a standard 6 speed manual transmission.

The CR-Z represents the future of lower priced hybrids for the mass market. The HONDA CR-Z will be powered by Honda's 1.5 Liter Engine with Honda's Integrated Motor Assist backing it up. Honda has said that the CR-Z will be good for 122hp and 128lb/ft of torque. The manual transmission on this vehicle is said to return 34mpgs.

BMW is marking the 25th anniversary of the M3 with a limited edition run of only 30 Frozen Gray M3 coupes.

The coupes will be fully loaded and include a special matte paint scheme called frozen gray. The coupes also feature a special black and red leather interior. The vehicle includes the M double clutch transmission for 0-60 times of 4.5 seconds. Read BMW's official press release below:

We have all probably heard about HID or HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE Lighting. That term refers to the newest lighting technology used in many of todays high end vehicles. Instead of the light bulb having a tungsten element that "glows" as current is passed through, Xenon light bulbs are actually filled with xenon gas that burns 3 times as bright. Volkswagen Group of America has decided that the Golf name plate will return to brand after a four year hiatus. The new generation of the GOLF goes on sale in October and it will be available as a 2010 model. VW is trying to utilize the same name for each model in every market.

VW is releasing the new Golf with a 2.5 liter five-cylinder gas engine with 170hp. The sportier GTI version will get the 2.0 Liter FSI direct injection turbo motor good for 200hp.

The 2010 Nissan GT-R supercar is getting a price increase for next year. The 2010 Nissan GT-R will have a base price of $81,790 and $84,040 for the premium package. That pricing represents a increase of almost four thousand dollars over the 2009 model.

The price increase for 2010 is the second price increase since the Nissan GT-R went on sale in July of 2008. The base model's price has increased by $10,940 since launch and the premium versions price has increased by $11,140 since launch.

Nissan is launching the 2010 Nissan GT-R on Saturday. The price increases is not without some extra's. The 3.8-liter V6 gets a bump in power from 480 hp to 485hp and other enhancements include a revised suspension, new wheel finishes, and more standard airbags. Nissan also added more rigid brake lines to enhance durability.

The Nissan GT-R gets a retuned suspension for 2010 as well. It will be fitted with re-valved Bilstein shocks with retuned spring and damper rates.

Lamborghini has outdone themselves again with the introduction of a drop-top version of the LP 650-4.

Lamborghini will only be producing 50 examples which will be powered by a 6.5 liter v12 that pushes out 650HP and 487 lb-ft of torque. The LP 650-4 has all-wheel-drive and launches from 0-60 in a Earth shattering 3.4 seconds. Top speed is 205 MPH.

The LP 650-4 will have a special black paint with orange accents and the interior features a asymmetric dash and leather.

Pricing has not been released.

Audi is breaking the trend with their new S5 Cabriolet by continuing to offer a standard soft-top. Other high end German automakers like BMW, Volvo, and Mercedes Benz have introduced hi-tech folding hardtops.

The car has a very well made soft top that is able to withstand climate extremes. Audi says that the soft top takes up less trunk and rear passenger space making it the right choice for a mid to small convertible.

The current line of standard A5 vehicles will also be available in a drop-top version. Audi offers 3 engine choices a 4 cylinder, a 6 cylinder, and a turbocharged six cylinder (found in the S5).

Audi has discontinued the A4 cabriolet and will solely build the S5.

The outgoing Mercedes Benz CLK has been in production for 12 years and has sold 460,000 units over two generations.

The two-door coupe will be all-new and based on a modified version of the recently redone E-Class sedan. The previous generations were built on modified C-class platforms. Mercedes is hoping to take the new E-class coupe further upmarket to leave room for a lower end C-class coupe.

The new E-class coupe has strayed away from the traditional Benz look to incorporate a very prominent grille, twin headlamps, a clamshell hood, and frame-less doors. The exterior is 1.8 inches longer and wider while being an inch lower the the outgoing CLK. Mercedes is also releasing a E-class convertible in 2010.

Inside, the E-class coupe has a dash layout similar to the E-class sedan with a regard to confirming Mercedes's quality standards and building materials. It is indeed impressive.
